Bhutan Festivals is a guide to 51 festivals in Bhutan. Little Bhutan publishes it.

What the guide holds

Each festival has its own page. The year calendar sets out every upcoming date by month, and its calendar file adds those dates to your own calendar. Month pages list the festivals in each month. Region pages list the festivals of western, central and eastern Bhutan. Three essays go further: Plan, What is a tshechu? and How festival dates are set.

Dates

Every date on this site is tentative. The dates come from the tentative festival calendar that the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO) publishes. We do not show festival dates that have ended. A festival with no upcoming dates shows the month it usually falls in.
